Collection: Tourbillon

Our aim is to produce high end and yet competitive Tourbillon watches at a competitive range. The tourbillon watch represents the highest level in the manufacturing process of mechanical watches. The entire escapement speed regulating mechanism is combined and can rotate, continuously rotating at a certain speed, so that it applies the gravity to the "escapement system" in the mechanical watch. The effect of the time is minimized, and the travel time accuracy is improved. Because of its unique operation mode, the dynamic artistic beauty of the watch has been brought to the point of reaching its peak, and it has always been known as "the king of watches".

What is a Tourbillon Movement?

In horology, a Tourbillon (/tʊərˈbɪljən/; French: [tuʁbijɔ̃] "whirlwind") is an addition to the mechanics of a watch escapement. Developed around 1795 and patented by the French-Swiss watchmaker Abraham-Louis Breguet on June 26, 1801, a Tourbillon aims to counter the effects of gravity by mounting the escapement and balance wheel in a rotating cage, to negate the effect of gravity when the timepiece (thus the escapement) is stuck in a certain position. By continuously rotating the entire balance wheel/escapement assembly at a slow rate (typically about one revolution per minute), the Tourbillon averages out positional errors.

Rather than being supported by a bridge, or cock, at both the top and bottom, the Flying Tourbillon is cantilevered, being only supported from one side. The first Flying Tourbillon was designed by Alfred Helwig, instructor at the German School of Watchmaking, in 1920.
